Pit's Spot

This site is created to aid in the education of being a responsible pit-bull owner. To some this is a bad word, to others it evokes a smile, a fond memory or our favorite dog. Here you will find toy reviews, recommendations on places to go and articles and sites to aid in your education.

Oh Eleanor

Eleanor,
hard to believe that you'll be five in October.  How the last almost five years have gone so quickly.  I know to others you are only a dog, and even a "pit bull" but I say you are my pit bull with pride.  To me, the words do not evoke fear but I always want to hear more!  Tell me about your dog.  When people meet you you waggle your but and always want to lick their face.  You announce visitors with a vigorous yowl at the front door or through the fence (sometimes annoying Daddy).  You always love to snuggle and can give a serious guilt trip if you don't get what you want: like you are asked to stay inside, you don't get to go somewhere or you aren't invited up on the couch.  But, you have taught me a lot about dogs, about "bully breeds" about pit bulls and about you.  You are a sweetie through and through, our little princess, entitled to the very best in life and when you don't get it, you let us know.  Ethel is a little more settled and flexible to get what she gets.  Maybe its that 2nd "child" or dog thing or maybe it is just her personality but you two make the best sisters.  You always cuddle together, wrestle and play together, play hide and seek and chase through the woods as top speeds and love meeting other dogs and humans.  You have brought a new dimension to my life.  We love you Eleanor.
