As promised at the beginning of this blog, there will be toy reviews. Ah yes, the wonderful world of toys. When you own a pit bull it is important to know what will last because they love to demolish stuff. Luckily mine really only demolish their own toys but they can do a pretty good job of it. So, when Beatrice went away for a week (she's back now, long story later), I bought a new toy for Ethel and Eleanor. Yes I spent $21 on a new toy that I only hoped would last. And by golly, it sure has. We're going on two weeks now and it's still here. The Nylabone "Galileo" has proven to be worth the money. I have been satisfied with Nylabone products before and this was lives up to the Nylabone reputation. Their products are non-toxic and dog friendly. The Galileo bone, if demolished, will break into "rice size kernels" that can pass through their digestive system without causing any problems. Since Ethel seems to want to eat any destroyed toy pieces, this was perfect! So, there you have it. Toy review #1: the Nylabone Galileo (large bone, comes in 3 sizes). It won't let you down. And at $20, it shouldn't, right?
Other favorite hearty dog toys/products I would recommend are:
Kong, extremely durable toys with a strong chewer in mind. Their toys come in all sizes, stages of puppy development and prices. Their products will not let you down.
RuffWear, has an extensive line of both toys and dog products like coats, travel bowls, leashes and other fun accessories. They are from Oregon, my home state so I like to support those from back home.
Any other suggestions from the crowd? Write in.
